emmy’s 2024: fashion, freak-outs and unforgettable moments

Los Angeles, a city of fire and earthquakes lately, took a time out to honor Hollywood last night. We were all thrilled to stop thinking about the election, global warming and world wide wars for a brief moment. So, a big thank you to the celebrities, including one of the night’s co-hosts, Dan Levy, for bringing some fun and fashion to our lives with his stunning Loewe’s black suit and sculpted shirt - which was serving some very fancy napkin vibes.

He and his co-host father Eugene were a welcome relief, bringing humor to the stage with a side of Canadian compassion.

While “Palm Royale” star and SNL alum, Kristen Wiig did not bring home an Emmy, she did shred the red carpet with her elegant cheese grater gown by Oscar De La Renta.

“The Bear” Star Ayo Edebiri was golden in her Koi fish inspired leather Louis Vuitton.

She adorably fangirled out meeting Reba McEntire on the red carpet.

”Bridgerton” Babe Nicola Coughlan stayed on the metallic trend, dishing out a Hershey’s Kiss vibe in her Prabal Gurung two piece.

Also serving up a sweet treat “Baby Reindeers” Nava Mau in her red ribbon candy dress by Gigi Goode.

Her emotional moment with E!’s Laverne Cox was a highlight of the night.

@buzzfeeduk Adding Laverne Cox saying “im so proud of you” to me morning routine. • Cox was the first openly trans person to be nominated for an Emmy 10 years ago. Mau is now the first trans woman to be nominated for best supporting actress in a limited series (for Baby Reindeer). We are so proud of both of them. #lavernecox #navamau #babyreindeer #emmys ♬ original sound - BuzzFeed UK

“Hacks” beat “The Bear” for best comedy, and shout out to Catherine O’Hara for always bringing the funny, even when she is just presenting.

“Shōgun” crushed the competition by breaking an Emmy record with 18 wins in its first season. Anna Sawai, who won best actress, had us all in tears.

But the real winner of the night “Abbot Elementary’s” Tyler Jesse Williams who’s gun show had Robin Robert’s stammering. The overlord, Elon, won’t let me embed the clip so hit the button below to watch the ABC host try and keep it together.
