emmy party season is here! so many pretty rooms for me to be awkward in!

what am I doing with my arms? my face? my leg? I don't know, friends. I just don't know

My Pal and director/choreographer friend Shanda loves these shindigs and always invites me. We are in different television academy peer groups. The academy has so many members, they break us up into smaller groups. My peer group is reality television, unscripted and talk shows. So this was not my group, but a lovely gang they were. It was all musicians and choreographers., so they had a live band!

Did I stand weirdly near them? yup. It is what I do.

who is this woman? not me.

If you look at this pic you may wonder if Shanda hates me, I swear she does not. But she is a dancer, a choreographer, a lady who knows how to stand for a picture and not look like a fool. Me not so much.

It really was a lovely party though, great food, sushi, steak and frites and the drinks were flowing. That is maybe why Shanda took this gem of me?

If you are a nominee at the party they give you a lovely gold pin to wear so people know who the important people are.

I really wanted one, they are so fun but the Academy frowns on theft. So please don’t tell them about the wine glass I still have that I stole a few years ago when I was nominated for the first time and lost. I figured if you don’t get a statue, you had to get something right? I keep it on my shelf and will continue to do so until I have a real Emmy to replace it with. :)
